Underfloor Heating
Underfloor heating is a modern and efficient way to warm your home, offering invisible comfort and even heat distribution across any room. It is compatible with a variety of floor coverings including laminate flooring, carpet, and tiles, making it a versatile heating solution for different areas of the house. There are two main types of underfloor heating systems: in-screed heating cables and foil heating mats.
In-screed heating cables are typically embedded within a concrete screed layer and are ideal for new builds or major renovations. This type of system offers powerful, long-lasting heat retention and is especially suited to tiled or stone floors due to their thermal mass.
Foil heating mats, on the other hand, are ultra-thin electric systems that sit directly under floor coverings without the need for a screed. These are particularly effective for laminate and engineered wood flooring, as well as carpets (when used with appropriate overlays), providing rapid heat-up times and easy installation.
Both systems are energy-efficient, space-saving, and virtually maintenance-free. Underfloor heating eliminates the need for bulky radiators, allowing more design freedom, while also promoting better air quality by reducing dust movement. It's an ideal solution for comfortable, consistent warmth in any modern home.
